Vincent's Chair

Vincent's Chair

Upcoming Dates

Vincent's Chair belong to a generation of musicians who eschew stylistic boundaries and have created a highly flexible hybrid which borrows from many and is beholden to none.

Vincent's Chair, write and perform original music which draws inspiration from jazz and roots music to create a new contemporary sound.

The group began in 2000 as a 6 piece, and has evolved into its current trio line-up of Kathie Renner on vocals & keyboard, accompanied by Karen De Nardi on viola and Hugh Stuckey on guitar. The combination of instruments and the beautifully crafted songs, together with their outstanding musicianship make for a lush, sonorous and unique sound.

Their blend of musically eclectic and lyrically introspective songs have left audiences amazed at the astonishing level of artistry and skill. In an age of fierce competition just to be noticed, this is one musical experience not to be missed.

Vincent's Chair cite as their influences Joni Mitchell, Sting, Pat Metheny, and Lior.

An Excellent Adventure

What an excellent adventure!
We are back in Adelaide after performing at EUROPAfest06 in Romania. We performed several concerts, two of which were broadcast live on National Romanian Television (TVR). Our venues were the ArCuB Hall - which is their main jazz venue in Bucharest - and we were invited to perform in the final night gala concert at the beautiful and ornate Royal Atheneum - which is their premiere concert venue.
We all had a great time and are ready to do it all again...soon!
Our thanks go to Luigi, Bogdana and their excellent team of volunteers.

Check out some images of our venues on the Picture Gallery page.
